For example, disregarding additional fees, if your quoted tuition is $38,000, the interest on a student loan for that amount can inflate that figure to over $100,000 over the next 10-25 years. You must also factor in your moving expenses, books, materials, and living expenses as a student (often some of these get worked into the loan as well). The result? Consider this: the cost of tuition also must be weighed against the value you’re getting for the money (i.e., what you’re learning, and how you’re learning).
