Recording Connection Refund Policy
As a fully accredited audio engineering and music production school, The Recording Connection complies fully with state and federal refund regulation policies.
In the unlikely event that you need to leave our program before completion, our complete refund policy is described below. Please show this to your parent, guardian, or other person who is helping you pay for school.
Refund Policy
If a student has neither begun their course nor completed an assignment, the Recording Connection will refund the entire amount of tuition, minus any cancellation fees, if applicable.
You have the right to cancel your program until midnight of the 8th business day from which your course has started. Please refer to The California Education Code, Section 94867, Page 2.
If, after starting the program, a student decides to drop out, then once Recording Connection has determined the student’s eligibility for a refund, said refund will be calculated as a percentage based on the amount of the program completed. For example, if 10% of the program has been completed, the Recording Connection will retain 10% of the tuition cost plus startup costs of $3250, refunding the remaining balance. Once the student has completed 65% or more of the course, no refund will be granted.
Refund of Tuition Charges:
The prorate chart below shall be used to determine the percentage of tuition due to you depending on how much of the program the student has completed.
The chart below is an example of how we calculate the prorated refund. These percentages are based on an amount of $5660.00, which is the portion of tuition eligible for refund assuming that the student has paid tuition in full. Full tuition = $8910.00
