YOUR CLASSROOM = A REAL RECORDING STUDIO; YOUR TEACHER = A WORKING AUDIO PROFESSIONAL
Every Recording Connection student receives their instruction in a real recording studio, under the direct tutelage of a real audio engineer or music producer. If you are accepted in our program and choose to enroll, you will attend class in a professional studio environment and be taught by your mentor using our structured course curriculum. You will be placed there, not as an intern, but as a STUDENT APPRENTICE being groomed for a career in the recording arts.
Most importantly, with Recording Connection, ALL learning takes place one-on-one, just you and your mentor—and at your own learning pace.
What will I learn? How will I learn Audio?
You can view a full overview of our curriculum by clicking here.
Our program contains 20 comprehensive lessons. You will study one lesson each week for a six-month period, combining private instruction in the recording studio with your mentor, hands-on training and practice with the studio equipment, and several hours of homework each week. In this manner, you benefit not only from the information we provide you, but also from the wisdom garnered from your mentor’s many years of successful music industry experience.
Compare for yourself, and you’ll find that we are the ONLY audio school on the planet that can promise the following:
- Participate in real-world recording sessions
- Take classes in an actual recording studio
- Receive all instruction one-on-one
- Learn from a structured course curriculum
- Be mentored and taught by an Audio Engineer or Music Producer with at least 10-30 years of experience in the music industry.
HOW FREQUENTLY WILL I ATTEND CLASS IN THE STUDIO?
At the outset, every Recording Connection Student attends class in the studio twice a week. After the first four weeks, if you have been on time to class and demonstrated a good work ethic, you will be permitted to attend more frequently, if you desire. (Some of our students attend the studio every day of the week.) How often you go into the studio at that point will depend on your own schedule and your drive to achieve.
WOULDN’T I BE LEARNING IN A REAL RECORDING STUDIO AT A REGULAR RECORDING SCHOOL?
To clear up any misunderstanding on this topic: Admittedly, many audio schools do have on-campus “recording studios.” However, you won’t find professionals like Eminem, Beyonce, U2, Black Eyed Peas, Taylor Swift or The Black Keys recording there. The reason? Because these are not real-world studios; they are studio simulations for training purposes only. In fact, the only people who frequent these places are teachers and students. (How can you learn the real music business in a place like this? Honestly, you can’t.)
In reality, the only way you can truly learn the real-world ins and outs of audio engineering and music production is by spending time where the real-world action happens: in a real recording studio. This is why the Recording Connection Audio Institute only places its students for apprenticeships in real, honest-to-goodness recording studios—NOT studio simulations.
You’ll also discover that many of our competitors will promise to place you in a real recording studio after you graduate from their program. However, it’s important to understand that if you are fortunate enough to get placed in one of these recording studios, you will not be an APPRENTICE but simply an INTERN. What’s the difference? Interns run errands, while apprentices receive personalized training. (Besides, why spend all that money on an audio education, only to follow it up with an unpaid internship afterward? Why not learn in a real studio, and accomplish both at once?)
From your very first day of school, RECORDING CONNECTION AUDIO INSTITUTE places you in a real recording studio as an APPRENTICE, studying our structured course curriculum under the private tutelage of a working industry professional. This enables you make career-advancing industry connections while you train—not afterward.
THIS SEEMS TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE. IS IT?
Not at all. We’ve been successfully placing students for apprenticeships in real studios for nearly 30 years, and we’re not going anywhere. But the good news is that you don’t have to take our word for it; find out the truth from the experts themselves, eh? Time to Choose
The saying goes: It isn’t just what you know, but who you know. Nowhere is this more accurate than in the music industry! That said, don’t you agree the best way to make music industry connections is by forming a working relationship with a Music Producer or Audio Engineer as a student apprentice?
It’s time to pose a question:
Would you rather attend a school endorsed and recommended by industry professionals, people who have worked with Black Eyed Peas, Outkast, Wyclef Jean, U2, Eminem, Method Man, Beyonce, Norah Jones, Pearl Jam, Alice in Chains, Dr. Dre, Ludarcis, Tupac, Madonna, Lenny Kravitz, Guns N Roses, Joni Mitchell, Bob Dylan, Pink, Stevie Wonder, Timbaland, Motley Crue, Diddy, Santana, Lil Wayne, Jane’s Addiction, 50 Cent, Snoop Dogg, Travis Tritt, B.B. King, Paul McCartney, Red Hot Chili Peppers, and a host of others?
- OR -
Would you rather take the conventional route and attend a typical recording school, which is overpriced, isolated, ineffective, and not recommended by the pros?
Not only is Recording Connection Audio Institute school the professionals recommend—but as a student with us, you’ll be learning from some of these very same professionals!
